For Shark Tank’s 17th season, ABC wanted to reframe the iconic show’s theme away from the world of finance and investment, and move into a more aspirational and inspiring space. Each contestant on the show is there to try and turn their dream into a reality; how do we convey that feeling with a single piece of art?

Our solution was to embrace the concept of “the idea” by way of a magical execution. The Sharks sit atop a magic carpet flying through an ethereal golden sky, hands stretched outward toward a floating cluster of light bulbs (the universal symbol for an idea). This art symbolizes their search for the next great idea.
